Part 4
Cupcake and Cutie Pie decided to celebrate 4th of July by making a journey to Forest City Yacht Club on North Marginal Rd, to have some hot dogs and beer with Dan & Rita Glow.
How to get from Independence to E55th and the shoreway with no freeways?
Easy.
Brecksville Rd. to Schaaf Rd to Jennings Rd., down past Steel Yard Commons, up the big hill, round the round about to W14th north to where it dead ends by the West Side Market. Up over the REALLY BIG Lorain Carnegie Bridge to E9th St, north to N. Marginal Rd, and then east along the shoreway until she got to the Yacht Club.
Cupcake's memories:#1 "Boy the buildings downtown are Really big"
#2When Cupcake saw Lake Erie, she knew that she ahd come to the end of the Earth.(Pam agrees, no going around a Tour of Lake Erie for Cupcake anytime soon!)

Part 3
My goodness, the summer has flown and Cupcake has almost 1200 miles on her, and I have been remiss on writing all the adventures. So I will compile them bit by bit as a recap, and tell you about some of the "cuter" happenings when you ride 50 cc's! |
Part 2
106.8 miles on .838 gallons, or 127.45 mpg!
This trip consisted of Cupcake's first longer journey to Howe Meadow on Riverview Rd in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. She went for an evening concert, and liked listening to the cajun music of "Mo MoJo", led by musician Jen Mauer. Then back to Peninsula for dinner at the "Lizard"
Four trips back and forth to work.
Trip to Parmatown for the Rib Fest. Who should we meet but Arp Viiberg on his wife's new Elite 110 scoote. They parked right up to the entrance (got to love their small frames, you can put them almost anywhere) and Cupcake listened to the blues of Ace Molar. |
Cupcake Chronicles
Part 1
For 2011, Pam has decided to go "mini" for part of the riding season.
Hence," Cupcake"
a yellow Honda Metropolitan.
She finally filled up with gas on May 31st
112.9 miles on .94 gallons, or 120.l mpg!
Not too bad for a new engine.
That constituted 8 round trips back and forth to work, a run to Tinkers Creek Tavern, numerous errands around the town of Independence. Stay tuned for further updates! |
